Five HK Contestants Won First Prize at National Grand Finals of "21st Century Cup"

11 Hong Kong contestants participated in the National Grand Finals of the "21st Century Cup" National English Speaking Competition from 3 to 5 October 2022. TENG Aiden Connor from South Island School, LAU Sum Laam from Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School and LEE Tsak Lam Candace from the Independent Schools Foundation Academy, were all awarded the First Prize for the junior high Category. TAN Shi Le Charlotte from Diocesan Girls' School was awarded the First Prize for the senior high Category. MA Hiu Chun from the University of Hong Kong won the First Prize for the university Category.

As for the rest, LI Linmo from Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School and WONG Sum Yau Bethany from S.K.H. Yan Laap Memorial Primary School received the Second Prize for the junior and senior primary Category respectively. CHEUNG Hei Ching from Hoi Ping Chamber of Commerce Secondary and XU Ngai Sui from T.W.G.Hs. Kap Yan Directors' College were both awarded the Second Prize for the senior high Category. CHAN Yin Hei from Kowloon Tong School (Primary Section) was awarded the Third Prize for the junior primary Category.

The contestants competed online at Yo Place, a youth platform developed by the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation. Congratulations to all the winners and competitors. We thank them all for their participation and hard work.
