In this year's global finals of the International Public Speaking Competition (IPSC), Chinese national Kangqi Yang from Fudan University won over the judges with her fascinating speech and personal style; and took home the first prize in the contest.

Yang Kangqi has become the third mainland Chinese contestant in the history of this contest to win the IPSC global competition, after Liu Xin and Xia Peng.

In this international and global contest, Yang Kangqi delivered two insightful and analytical speeches: the first one on the concept of "shared medical decision-making" based on her own professional experience. The second one to call society to listen to and provide women with better care.

Yang Kangqi said that this experience of engaging in public speaking has improved her communication and has given her a unique perspective to understand the world, herself, and the people around her.

Some day in the future, when she is saving lives as a doctor, she will remember when she said "to comfort always" on the podium. She will keep in mind the Hippocratic oath and will become a good doctor who can make patients feel at ease and confide in her.

We wish all contestants participating in the competition in Hong Kong good luck and hope you will enjoy this experience, and gain invaluable insights and enrich their lives!
